For Lynn cabinetmaking is a second career. She finds her work satisfying because she can build very beautiful things and build a legacy in her work. She enjoys the problem solving and building to exacting standards. Lynn says there’s a lot neat places you can land with cabinet making. Job Talks OYAP – Cabinetmaker Apprentice

Erika became interested in the skilled trades as a young person working on a building project alongside her father. After hearing other women in the trades talk positively about their field experience, she turned her own interests into an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker.

OYAP provided Erika with the chance to make a name for herself and gain invaluable skills she can now apply to her work.
